AI Research Assistant — Best Practices

Ask effective questions and interpret AI answers with proper source verification.

Published June 24, 2026

What the assistant does

The AI Research Assistant answers natural-language questions about Asian energy markets by searching our news archive, research library, and live market data. Responses include source citations where available.

What it does not do

It does not provide investment or trading advice, price predictions guaranteed for execution, or legal guidance. Always verify cited sources and cross-check figures against official data before acting.

Writing good questions

  • Be specific: "What drove JKM spot prices last week?" beats "Tell me about LNG."
  • Include timeframe: "Brent outlook for Q3 2026" or "Strait of Hormuz incidents in the past 30 days."
  • Ask one topic per question for clearer, better-cited answers.

Example questions

Try: Brent crude supply outlook; JKM vs TTF spread drivers; Pertamina import trends; VLCC freight rates Singapore–China; OPEC+ policy impact on Dubai benchmark.
